Six Indian Drug Companies To Supply Low Cost HIV Drugs To UN


Six major Indian pharma firms–Emcure, Hetero Labs, Aurobindo, Laurus Labs, Lupin, and Zydus Cadila–have signed licensing agreements with the UN’s Medicines Patent Pool (MPP) to produce HIV and Hepatitis C drugs. The drugs will help provide the UN with low-cost treatments for HIV and Hepatitis C in third world countries.
