Major pharma firms pushing back against US drug pricing debate


Major pharma companies such as Eli Lilly, Biogen, and Merck, conducted interviews with Reuters in order to get their side of the pricing debate out to the public. Their message has been consistent, with claims that the public is being misled, and the actual prices paid by consumers are almost always significantly discounted from original prices, due to negotiations between prescription benefit managers, insurers, and other large purchasers.
