LA County Backs off Drug-Take Back Program

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors had been entertaining a drug-take back program that would have forced pharmaceutical companies to pay for drug disposals. LA County has backed off that proposal for the time being, and is instead allowing the pharmaceutical industry to run a public education campaign. LA County could still vote in favor of the drug-take back program in the future.
