India Maintains Pharma Exports Lead Over China

In 2015, India’s pharma exports grew from $11.66 billion to $12.54 billion, indicating growth of 7.55 percent. During the same year, China’s pharma exports grew by 5.3 percent, to $6.94 billion. India’s pharma exports remain ahead of China in critical markets such as the US, the EU, and in Africa. Last year, India’s pharma exports to the US increased by 23.4 percent to $4.34 billion, while China’s pharma exports to the US increased by 15 percent to $1.34 billion.
