FDA Approved More Generic Drugs In 2015 Than Ever Before


The FDA approved more generic drugs in 2015 than any year prior. Although the FDA has been criticized for its significant ANDA backlog, the regulatory agency is currently on track to meet all of its obligations to the Generic Drug User Fee Act of 2012 by the year 2017. In 2015, more than 700 generic drugs were approved or tentatively approved.
